Eric traveled to northeastern Australia (Queensland near Cairns) to witness the spectacular total solar eclipse of November 14, 2012. The trip, organized specifically for a small group of astronomers, also included special tours of the Parkes radio telescope and the Siding Spring Observatory, both in New South Wales.
