I welcome legitimate bidders worldwide on my eBay auctions.
Here's some important information you should know before you bid:

bullet

Items Offered: Most of the items I sell are on consignment from various sources, so I usually have an interesting variety of items (mostly numismatic) over a period of weeks.  Pricing will vary considerably, and there is no guarantee than unsold items will be offered on eBay again.  I use reserve prices very sparingly - most of my items have a reasonable starting bid but no reserve.

bullet

Starting Times: My auctions will usually start on a weekend (or occasionally on a Monday) and run for 7 days.

bullet

Photographs: I always try to provide good-quality photographs of the items I sell, however, eBay picture services does reduce the resolution of the original photos for faster downloads.  Please e-mail me if you feel you need the full resolution photo (or additional photos or information) to decide on your bid.  Requests should be received at least 24 hours prior to close of auction whenever possible.

bullet

Notification: I will usually notify winning bidders the same day the auction ends.  You do not need to use the eBay "checkout" process, although you may use it if you prefer.  If you are not using PayPal, I do appreciate an e-mail response indicating when you will mail your check or money order.

bullet

Payment:
bullet

Payment is due within two weeks of auction close.

bullet

I prefer PayPal (to Eric@Holcomb.com).  I also accept checks and money orders, however I may require verification by my bank before shipment.  Small checks and money orders that can be cashed (rather than deposited) at the bank or Post Office may not incur a waiting period.

bullet

If you are buying more than one item, or if you live outside the United States, please don't pay until I notify you of the correct shipping amount.  PayPal users: When buying more than one item from the same seller, you can now make a combined payment easily from within eBay.  (You'll still need the correct shipping amount.)

bullet

If you live in or visit the Puget Sound area of Western Washington, you may also be able to pay cash on delivery at a local coin club meeting (please inquire for details and meeting information).

bullet

WA State Sales Tax: Washington State residents please add 8.8% for sales tax on non-coin, non-bullion items such as medals and books.  If the PayPal checkout process adds sales tax on an item that shouldn't be taxed, please let me know and I will make an adjustment.

bullet

Shipping: I always try to keep shipping costs reasonable, and to ship as soon as reasonably possible.  I will only charge you actual shipping costs plus a small additional fee (usually not more than $1.00) for packing, and I will combine items to save on shipping.  The standard shipping amount is for USPS First Class Mail (under 1 pound) or Parcel Post.  You may also choose Priority Mail, UPS or FedEx, in which case I will send you a revised final total including shipping.

bullet

Insurance: Insurance is extra except for the standard amount that is included with UPS or FedEx (usually $100).  Like just about all eBay sellers, I cannot assume responsibility for uninsured items lost in the mail.  I reserve the right to require insurance for high-value items.

bullet

Returns: I accept returns subject to a 10% fee (with no postage refunds) if notified of your intent to return the item within 30 days after you receive the item.  You then have 14 days to actually return the item.  I will only give a full refund and reimburse postage if I have made a major error that significantly affects the value or attribution of the item.  Please understand that auction sales are not "approval" sales.  Unreasonable or frequent returns will disqualify you from bidding in my future auctions.

bullet

Grading: For uncertified items, the grades I assign are approximate according to the American Numismatic Association standards, and should not be relied upon as absolutely accurate.  For certified items, the grading is guaranteed exclusively by the third-party grading service and not by myself.  I will try to describe any major flaws, defects or damage, however it should be understood that not every flaw can be mentioned in the item description.  Original packaging (when available) should always be assumed to have some normal "wear and tear" unless stated otherwise.

bullet

Authenticity: All items are guaranteed genuine unless identified as a copy or replica in the description.   However, if you intend to have an item certified, I request that you do so within 90 days of receiving the item.  Some U.S. Mint medals offered are reproductions of the original more valuable medals.

bullet

Feedback: I leave feedback on all transactions (with the rare exception of a transaction that we mutually agree to cancel).  If you pay quickly with PayPal, your positive feedback will probably begin with "Excellent fast payment. ..."  I also appreciate receiving feedback.  (If nothing else, it allows me to keep track of items received.)

bullet

International Buyers: International buyers are welcome on all items unless stated otherwise in the description.  Please do not pay until I determine the correct shipping amount.  Insurance is usually expensive, and items under 16 ounces (454 g) can only be insured with Registered Mail.  The buyer is responsible for all required import licenses and customs duties.  Please advise me of any special requirements for mailing to your country.

bullet

If there are any problems or questions please contact me as soon as possible and I will try to reach a satisfactory resolution.

Thank you for your business!
