August 1999 Solar Eclipse Cruise

Eric took this cruise from England to New York on board the S.S. Norway, crossing the Atlantic in seven days after watching the eclipse off the southwest coast of England.  The ship, now operated by Norwegian Cruise Line, is shown above with a tender boat used to go ashore in Dublin, Ireland in the foreground.  This was the day before the eclipse, and the weather was beautiful.  Unfortunately, the weather took a turn for the worse on eclipse day (Wednesday, August 11)!
